I spent the better part of the morning troubleshooting my PMS machine, including messing with firewalls, antivirus, and port forwarding. Despite this, I still could not connect to the roku, nor could I ping in properly from my PMS machine.

The forwarding is called dynamic, because in case of a SOCKS connection the correct destination for the forwarded requests is determined automatically and must not be specified when establishing the tunnel (see example 2.2 for the difference).

Jun 07, 2016 · How to get Port Forwarding working on DD-WRT. After upgrading my Asus RT-AC66U I noticed that for some reason port forwarding was not working.
